excellent quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Verbatim makes the best storage disks available, buy these you wont be sorry, i have been using verbatim cd's and dvd's and never had any problems burning or playing them on all my players, ( no coasters yet ). People have stated the lightscribe images arent that bright, and thats true but thats because of the technology not the disks ! the images are more of an neagtive image not color image, some disks like the yellow ones produce awesome pictures were as the darker ones are harder to see. When i do use the darkest ones i just label them with band and title, also dont use the nero label maker, go to lightscribe dot com and download there template maker it was 100 times easier to use and it will show ya a pic of your creation before you burn it, and it will show ya how it will look with each color disk, that way you can see in advance if it will look good in that color , then when it burns your lightscribe it shows a process wheel and it spins and shows how far along it is, that is real kewl !! also when you burn a lightscribe they all take 22 minutes, every burner every software, so be patient cause its well worth it ! So go to the lightscribe web site take there small tutorial, download there free software and begin making some killer labels that wont rub off and will last forever. they have many kewl labels free and its real easy to insert any of your pics from your hard drive.. also wait for a sale at best buy cause there 12.99 for 25 right now and im going today to buy a couple packs of them, for the price of one non sale ..

Disc is fine, it's Lightscribe I don't like
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the idea of labeling directly onto a disc. I bought an external drive with Lightscribe capacity and this package of discs. It takes a long time to apply a label, and the results are disappointing -- very light, almost imperceptible labeling. Trying to run the process twice for more definition just doesn't work. The second image shadows the first by about a quarter inch. Sorry, this just isn't the answer, however much I wish it were.

Great Discs!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really really like these discs because the playback is so great. My car cd player has a hard time playing other burned cds and it skips a lot when playing them. But with the Verbatim brand, I've never had a problem. The lightscribe is great too. It does take a while to burn the labels, but that is because of the process not the cd. It only takes about 5 minutes to burn the band and disc title. When it's on sale I try to pick up a pack every time.

Affordable and Colorful
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You always pay a little more for LightScribe, but these CDs have LightScribe plus color, and are still in the affordable range. I haven't burned a lot of these yet, so I rated Durability a 4 instead of a 5, but they havw not produced any coasters, and the LightScribe surface has always worked perfectly.

Nice Discs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm going to preface this review by saying that I've only used 1 disc so far, and it was an orange one. The orange discs are very similar in color to the red ones, so at first I thought there was one less color than there actually was in the spindle. I like that there is variety there so your discs can look different from each other. I was pleasantly surprised with how nicely the Lightscribe image came out, since I had never seen one before. I'm not sure if the discs have anything to do with the quality of the image produced. As far as how many 'coasters' came in my spindle, well, I don't know yet since I've only burned one. I'm going to venture a guess and say that there won't be any more or any less than what you'd usually get in a spindle. My first disc came out great, and I'm looking forward to trying the other colors and seeing how my Lightscribe designs come out. My only complaint about these discs is that they're more expensive than regular CDs, but that's not really a complaint because I realize that they probably should be more expensive given that they're specially made. If you enjoy graphic designs, have a Lightscribe drive, and want to burn some fun CDs for yourself, then grab a pack of these and have a blast!

Lightscribe CDs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the ability to scribe a laser label on my disks. The added bonus of having a few colors is great. I will always buy lightscribe drives from now on. Why mess with any other kind of labeling system? I haven't tried Lightscribe DVDs yet, but plan to as soon as the prices come down a little more. The only thing I'd like is a faster scribing process, as stated in the Cons. That's an equipment issue, not an issue with the CDs. I'm sure it will happen sooner or later.

Ok but not excellent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have burned quite a few labels with these so far. I find they are lasting as long on the colored CD's as they do on the gold one's. I have seen brighter colors advertised by Lightscribe online but I haven't been able to find these any where to purchase. The colors on these CD's look good, especially the turquoise & red but otherwise they aren't very bright. I'd like to see them come out with deeper brighter colors that will hold the prnted labels for longer.
