Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I don't know about others, but I love creating the art for a CD label. I really don't mind waiting for a label to burn. A while back I use to make paper labels, until I found my CD's were starting to skip & hang up. Then I peeled one of the paper labels off the skipping CD, put it back in my car CD player, & with much surprise, it played fine. Around that time, I was in the market for a new PC. I had heard about "Light Scribe CD's. That was the one feature I had to have on my PC. I got it, & have loved it ever since. Then, after a year or so, I noticed the Light Scribe CD's were starting to become scarce in my local stores that use to sell them. I asked a sales clerk in the local office supply store why they didn't carry them, & he explained that they were not as popular as they once were, because now days most music is going digital, & mp3, & people didn't wont to have to wait for a label to burn. I agreed with him but, I, myself, still love having a physical CD in my hands, & not a gadget to have cords to hook up, or, try to get the Bluetooth to connect. I now have to order my Light Scribe CD's on line, & to me, the most convenient, & most reasonable priced place to order them is on Amazon.com. I saw these Verbatim discs, and the description said they were "Gold". Even though I have no idea why they are called "Gold", I figured they must be better than those that did not say "Gold". Also the price was very reasonable for a 30 CD spindle package. So, as long as Amazon has them in stock, and my Light Scribe CD burner continues to work, I will continue to order them as needed here at Amazon.
The quality of the disc transferring medium is fantastic as usual however; the light scribe surface is not so good. It seems like there is a clear covering over the light sensitive surface. I'm somewhat of a mad scientist so I feel comfortable enough to say that somehow the laser is being distorted through the protective covering. Parts of the label end up coming out blurry, doubled or broken. I have not encountered this phenomenon with other disk mediums I have encountered.
I did a ton of research on the best lightscribe media before placing my order and every review of Verbatim was positive. They were right ... I purchased several hundred of these disks for a large CD duplication project. (At the time, the 30 disc spindles had a lower cost per CD than the 50 disc). I use a ProDuplicator 6 drive tower and every single disc burned and printed flawlessly.Great product!
