Ludisia Discolor (Jewel Orchid)

Also known as a Jewel Orchid, Ludisia Discolor is a rewarding yet easy-to-care-for houseplant making them suitable for beginner plant parents. This plant is prized for it's foliage, it's deep green leaves are flecked with sparkly pink stripes and are velvety in texture. Given the right conditions, small white flowers will appear rising amongst the foliage.

 

Plant Care

  • Medium - bright indirect light. Avoid any direct sun.

  • Water when about the top 2 inches of soil is dry.

  • Appreciates being located in more humid environments, try grouping with other houseplants, sitting the plant on a pebble try or locating in a bathroom/kitchen.

  • Yay! This plant is non-toxic to pets and people.
