History: It was introduced to Europe in the 17th century and used for house and shipbuilding. Oil was produced in small villages throughout Russia before the revolution. This oil is a favorite to use around the Christmas holidays.

Characteristics: A middle note of strong aroma, Fir Balsam Essential Oil has the crisp, clean scent of newly-cut Christmas trees.

Clinical Studies:

Indications: Used for asthma, bronchitis, coughs, sinusitis, rheumatism, colds, fever, flu, stimulant (immune system), urinary infections.

Mode of Administration: Aroma lamp, bath, diffusor, inhaler, light bulb ring, liquid candles, massage, mist spray, steam inhalation.

Safety: Nontoxic, possible skin irritant. Contraindicated for asthma and whooping cough because it increases bronchial spasms.
