Zaya Wade joined her stepmom, Gabrielle Union, for a fashionable walk down the red carpet at the 34th annual GLAAD Media Awards in Beverly Hills yesterday.

The Bring It On star looked glamorous in a glittering hooded Moschino gown covered from head to toe in multicolored beads arranged in a leaf-like pattern. Union kept her accessories to a minimum, wearing bronze platform heels and an array of silver rings.

Meanwhile, Zaya looked effortlessly cool in an all-black set from Miu Miu, for which she recently made her runway debut during Paris Fashion Week. The set was composed of a crisp jacket and miniskirt with boxy pockets stitched on the outside, plus black spandex shorts worn underneath. She finished the look with a mini white purse and ivory knee-high sandals.

On the carpet, Union opened up about her and husband Dwyane Wade's support of their 15-year-old daughter, who is transgender (Wade shares Zaya with ex-wife, Siohvaughn Funches).

"It feels pretty amazing, because Zaya is my date tonight, and for her to be able to see so many members of her community, of our community, that she's looked up to, that have inspired her, that have held her down … had her back, is pretty huge," she said in an interview with Billboard. "There's not too many moments as a parent where I get to deliver in this kind of way. So I'm just pretty thrilled. I'm just really happy to be here and happy to be a part of sharing the community with my daughter."
