Vombat Jirka
Vombat je zvláštní zvíře, které hrozně rádo spí a taky hrozně rádo hrabe díry. I malý vombatí kluk Jirka by je rád hrabal. Jenomže i malí vombati musí chodit na nočník. A tak maminka rozhodne - nejdřív nočník, pak hrabání. Jirka sedí a sedí, ale na nočníku se mu nedaří. Chodí kolem něj kamarádi a udílejí mu všemožné přátelské rady, co dělat, aby se dařilo.
Jak to dopadne? Samozřejmě že dobře! Koneckonců tahle vtipná a krásně ilustrovaná kniha pomůže těm nejmenším dětem, aby to na nočníku vždycky dobře dopadlo.

Wonderfully cute book for kids... and adult beginners in Czech too. Maybe the first book in the language I've read pretty much all on my own... at 52!

Sympaattisesti kuvitettu tsekkiläinen kuvakirja tämä "Vompatti potalla" (Aurinko, 2022). Ja nimi on kuvaava, sillä eipä tässä vompatti paljon muuta tee kuin äkistää kakkaa potalla istuessaan. Isän neuvolla homma sitten lopulta hoituu.
Ei välttämättä satutuntimateriaalia, mutta ei tämän lukeminen hukkaan mennyt. Opinpahan ainakin sen, että vompatin papanat ovat neliskulmaisia.

Tore raamat vombatist, kes enne õue minemist peab kakama. Käsu peale kakada on muidugi raske ja vombatil läheb sellega aega.

This is such a fun story and a great book to share with children who are struggling to learn to use the potty. George the wombat wants to go digging a burrow, but his mum says he has to do a number two first. George sits on the potty, but nothing happens for a long time. Soon all his friends arrive one by one to help give him some advice on using the potty, but will George be able to go, and what happens when he does? The book is around A4 in size though a bit wider and is filled with lots of thick matt pages of lovely illustrations and text.
The story is fun with an interesting wombat fact given to us right at the beginning. I have to say that I really didn’t know about this fact, and it made the ending of the book extra funny. As George tries to go, plenty of his friends come, one by one, to help him. But it’s not until something at the end happens that George really manages to go. I’m not sure if this story will actually help children to really use the potty, the advice given to George is helpful, but whether it would help children learning I don’t know, but the story is very good and funny and I just love the little wombat fact that makes this story all the more fun and I’m sure many children will enjoy this book for the story and pictures.
The illustrations are so fun. I love how expressive George is and what all the characters look like. Centring most of the images on the white background really makes you notice George and I love all the different pictures of him when he’s trying to go but isn’t successful yet. The illustrations really make this book so appealing and I love the style with lots of criss-crossed lines helping to colour in the fur, as well as the overall fun look to everyone and everything. Even the poo at the end of the story looks funny!
This is a great and fun book to help children with their potty training. It has some great advice which can be repeated to children and it’s just an overall very fun book to look at again and again. And you might also learn an interesting fact about wombats along the way too!

Nočníkový trénink s tím nejlepším zvířecím společníkem :) Originální, vtipné, poučné, s poutavými ilustracemi, skvělou pointou i poselstvím, tak akorát dlouhé pro každého. Co víc si přát?

Täitsa tore ja kindlasti väikelast kõnetav raamat. Oleks ainult võinud veidi kas või lisatekstina selgitada, mis see vombati kaka ikkagi täringukujuline on.
