The Garfield Movie Trailer

“If I don’t make it back, tell my story…” Ha ha ha. Sony Pictures has revealed the second official trailer for the funny Garfield movie, currently set to arrive in theaters at the end of May this summer movie season. The Garfield Movie, as it is officially called, is directed by Mark Dindal, the animation filmmaker who also directed The Emperor’s New Groove and Chicken Little. The amusing plot features Garfield reuniting with his long-lost father, a scruffy street cat, then ending up involved in a high-stakes heist. The film stars Chris Pratt as the voice of the sarcastic, lasagna-loving tabby, alongside the voices of Samuel L. Jackson as his father Vic, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, and Ving Rhames. The first teaser trailer debuted back in November last year, this one has much more footage showing where the plot is going – with Garfield, his long lost dad, and Odie on the run. Doesn’t look so bad! Still not sure Pratt is the right choice for this voice of Garfield, but too late to change that now.

Here’s the second official trailer (+ posters) for Mark Dindal’s The Garfield Movie, direct from YouTube:
