If you looked up the word “pretty” in the dictionary, this photo of Gabrielle Union would be right next to it. The actor never, ever misses when it comes to her hair and makeup routine, but there’s just something extra special about this all-over shimmer makeup moment. Looking for holiday makeup inspo? Union brought the sparkle and shine in her most recent Instagram pic, posing in Kendra Scott jewelry and a ballerina-inspired strapless gown paired with shimmery eyes and warm peach cheeks. Her eyes were covered in a gleaming rose eye shadow from the lid to the brow bone and defined with lots of mascara and a touch of liner, with her brows styled in precise arches. Union’s skin is practically glowing off the screen, enhanced by that gorgeous blush and highlighter on her cheekbones and the tip of her nose. It’s a relatively simple makeup look that doesn't require a glam team to bring to life, but it’s just *so* darn pretty! A low, undone faux-bob style was the perfect choice to show off the earrings.
If you thought the shimmer and shine was limited to Union’s face, think again! The actor sparkled head to toe thanks to body glitter on her shoulders, collarbones and down her arms; the sparkle is subtle, but it catches the light in the most beautiful way. (She used ColourPop's SOL Shimmering Dry Oil.) If you zoom in, you’ll also see that her nails are equally shiny and painted with a glimmering silver metallic shade.

Of course, this is all par for the course for the star, who constantly changes up her look and tries new things but always stuns. Most recently, she gave us major blowout envy with a curled-under bob. In September, she attended the Ralph Lauren show during New York Fashion Week wearing the absolute definition of a sleek bun, and she can even pull off neon red Halloween wigs! The holidays are coming up before we know it, which means I’ll be keeping a very close eye on Union to see what this beauty icon has planned. ‘Tis the season to sparkle, right?
