It came from aquarium store in Brazil. May be native or not... :-??

Unlikely. I believe most aquarium stores in Brazil get their stock from the Far East (at least they do in Manaus).

I've never seen a native wild-caught fish for sale here (except in Barcelos), even though they are swimming around in the river just a few kilometres away. Tragic.
