Description

Grown for both its handsome good looks as well as its medicinal properties, the daisy-like flowers of this bushy perennial herb will attract bees and other beneficial insects and will look wonderful when dried and added to potpourri. The aromatic foliage acts as a natural repellent to many troublesome pests including wasps, flies, ants, and some beetles. Medicinally has been used to treat migraines, reduce fevers and swelling as well as aid digestion.

Sow indoors. Surface sow onto moist well-drained seed compost, press seeds into the soil but do not cover. Ideal temp. 18-21°C. Germination takes 5-21 days. Transplant seedlings when large enough to handle 8cm pots. Acclimatize and plant out after the danger of frost has passed with 25cm spacing. Can be sown directly from April into well-prepared soil that has been raked to a fine tilth.
