Description: Hebel flare pistol Model 1894, Germany probably from 1WW. Round steel barrel with heavy octagonal breech hinged to steel frame section containing single action lock mechanism. Barrel stamped with German Ordnance marks, S under a Crown and the German eagle. The frame stamped with German Ordnance marks, the rear section or the frame forming a support for the grips. Barrel release lever mounted forward of the trigger guard and encompassing it. Loop shaped trigger guard. 2-piece wooden grips with central screw fixing and lanyard ring.
