Hello, looking to help identify age/value of this clock? I acquired it from my first home purchase over 15 years ago. It references P112, DRP no. 171659 and serial #2195930. I've attached some pics of the clock and a document that was included with the clock (only included the first page of the document). Thanks in advance for your help!

Welcome to the forum

P112 refers to the pendulum length in cm. Patent # 171659 was issued in 1904 and deals with the strike mechanism. Serial # 2195930 would, I believe, date your clock to around 1924, but others may be able to give a more exact date.

The value is hard to estimate. These clocks are well made but not hugely valuable and a lot would depend on the condition and service history. From what little I can see, the movement looks overdue for cleaning/servicing. You could try looking a the 'completed sales' on Ebay for 'Gustav Becker long case clock' to give you an idea of what such clocks sell for.

Other may know more.

Don't see any document, did you post it?

Based on J. Hubby's data , serial number 2195930 would date to the later months of 1911. Serial number 2231501 started in 1912.

John Hubby's data shows 1911 numbers started at 2184001, so the clock probably dates closer to the start of 1911.

Yes, I did some math and I would think that 2195930 would be in the first quarter , not the last. a total of 47500 clocks in one year ! Did I figure this correctly? thanks.

I used to do the math on these but lately I just eyeball the position. In this case, the clock's number is close to 25% of the distance between 1911 and 1912. 25% of 365 is around 91, so the clock could have been built somewhere around the 91st day of the year...plus or minus!!
