2002 BMW E46 M3 TRACK CAR
Sold in the USA from 2001-2006, it is considered by many as the best BMW M3 ever made. So if you were going to build a BMW race car why not start with the E46 M3. This car is complete and ready to race for a fraction of what it would take to build with over $100k invested.
It started life as a stock 2002 M3 and was stiffened by replacing the sunroof with a full factory metal roof and installing a custom built roll cage.The engine was kept fairly stock for reliability with only a track tune but has stiffer motor and transmission mounts and an oil cooler added to keep temperatures lower. A nice Meisterschaft exhaust was installed giving this car an aggressive tone while still under the Laguna Seca maximum sound limit of 102db.
Inside the cabin the air conditioning and stereo have been removed and replaced with a Motorola radio harness, fire extinguisher and cool suit controls on the dash to keep the driver more comfortable during a stint on the track. Cool Suit System and lines not included.
