Gennaro Gattuso has reportedly rejected multiple offers from the Saudi Pro League and even a phone call with the Prime Minister hasn’t changed his mind.

The Saudi Pro League, fresh with the backing of sovereign wealth fund PIF, have emerged as players in the European transfer market this summer, making lucrative offers to a long list of players and coaches.

In Serie A, Massimiliano Allegri and Jose Mourinho have already rejected offers from Saudi clubs and a handful of players have been linked with moves to the Middle Eastern country.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, multiple Saudi Arabian clubs have offered lucrative contracts to Gattuso, but he’s continued to resist and has rejected all of their approaches.

He was even contacted personally by the Saudi Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, but still didn’t change his mind.

Gattuso is keen to stay in Europe to relaunch his coaching career after a difficult end at Valencia. The former midfielder has received a few approaches in recent months, but so far none have proved convincing.
