Based on his and his brother’s experience seeing their mum die slowly from Alzheimer’s, this is a moving and affectionate performance about the devastating effects of the disease; not only on the sufferer but on family, friends and carers. A journey full of smiles, laughter, love and tears.
Pip is one of the world’s most respected solo performers, and renowned for his ability to ‘break the fourth wall’, speaking directly with the audience, involving them with the emotions, making them an essential part of the performance. Over the past two decades he has written and performed some of the most internationally successful solo shows, (Dickens, Hitler, Thatcher and Churchill and more) receiving five-star reviews and awards around the world; The Stage Special Award for Excellence 2015 and the Fringereview.co.uk Award for Outstanding Theatre, in 2016 the ‘Valery Kashanov Award’ for his contribution to World Monodrama, and in 2018 the Turkish Ministry of Culture Lifetime Achievement Award by the for his contribution to world theatre.
