1984 Mazda 929 Coupe

This very clean example of the 929 coupe was advertised on FB marketplace in February 2021, asking $12,500 - not too bad at all considering the low km and general condition of the car. These are a bit of a strange modern classic - and haven't taken off so much as some of the other 80s coupes like the skyline - probably owing to the fact that these were more of a luxury car than a sports car at the time. They're pretty funky looking and very 80s, and many of them survive today so they're obviously a fairly robust car.

At the time of sale, the original seller noted the following comments:

Mazda 929, original 88627klms, was an outback NSW car with no rust. Body has a few minor marks to be expected for a car this age, but presents very well. Interior is in great shape. Engine and driveline all good. I bought it off the mechanic who used to look after it for the original old lady owner. Leave it standard or fit a rotary or V8 as it would make a nice cruise car. Car is in the inner west of Sydney.
