This 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX was first delivered to Delray Mitsubishi in Delray Beach, Florida, and was later sold on BaT in March 2022 prior to the selling dealer’s acquisition in July 2023. It now has 2,300 miles and is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle and an all-wheel-drive system. The car is finished in Tarmac Black over black leather and Alcantara upholstery and is equipped with an active center differential, limited-slip front and rear differentials, Brembo disc brakes, a carbon-fiber wing, xenon headlights, Recaro front sport seats, a MOMO steering wheel, and the Special Edition package which included an aluminum roof panel, Diamond Black 17″ BBS wheels, and revised exterior features. This Evo IX Special Edition is offered by the selling dealer in California with a window sticker, manufacturer’s literature, two keys, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.
The car is finished in Tarmac Black and features a vented aluminum hood and a carbon-fiber rear wing. The Special Edition package included an extended front air dam, an aluminum roof panel, and xenon headlights.
Diamond Black BBS 17″ alloy wheels were part of the Special Edition package and are mounted with Yokohama Advan A-046 tires showing 2006 date codes. The suspension is fitted with forged aluminum components, a front strut tower brace, and front and rear stabilizer bars. Stopping power is provided by front and rear vented disc brakes with red-finished Brembo calipers.
The Recaro front sport seats are trimmed in black leather with Alcantara inserts and contrasting red stitching and are accompanied by carbon fiber-look trim accents on the dashboard and center console. Appointments include a leather-wrapped shift knob, air conditioning, aluminum pedals, Evolution IX-branded floor mats, and a factory CD stereo.
A three-spoke MOMO steering wheel frames a central tachometer, a 170-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 2,300 miles.
The turbocharged 2.0-liter 4G63 inline-four features MIVEC variable-valve timing and was factory rated at 286 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle, an active center differential, and limited-slip front and rear differentials.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Delray Mitsubishi along with standard equipment, options, and a total price of $33,874. Factory manuals in a storage bag, two sets of keys, and a temporary dealer tag from 2007 are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage, notes open safety recalls related to the PCM as well as the passenger-side airbag inflator, and displays history in Florida. An odometer reading of 2,290 miles is shown in August 2014. The car passed a California emissions test in August 2023.
