This 2002 BMW M3 coupe is powered by a 3.2-liter inline-six, and its six-speed transmission was converted to manual operation under prior ownership. Finished in Steel Gray Metallic over black Nappa leather upholstery, the car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, 18″ M double-spoke wheels, xenon headlights, rear Park Distance Control, a rear spoiler, fog lights, manually adjustable front sport seats, a BMW Business CD stereo, cruise control, Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and automatic climate control. The car has remained registered in California through the selling dealer’s acquisition in 2023 and now has 45k miles. The rod bearings were replaced in 2005, the clutch, rear main seal, and transmission input shaft seal were replaced in July 2022, and recent work is said to have consisted of replacing the shifter, selector rod, shifter bushings, oxygen sensor, rear trailing arm bushings, and rear struts. This E46 M3 is now offered by the selling dealer with service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.

The car was factory equipped with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), and braking is provided by four-wheel ventilated discs. According to the seller, the rear trailing arm bushings and struts were replaced at approximately 45k miles.
The manually adjustable front sport seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather, and Titan Shadow trim accents the dash and door panels. Interior amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, a BMW Business CD stereo, and an onboard computer. Wear is visible on the driver’s seat, and blemishes are located on the left door panel. The driver’s airbag was replaced in 2017, while a replacement right-front airbag was installed in 2020. A replacement selector rod, shifter and boot, and shifter bushings have been fitted, per the seller.
The multi-function leather-wrapped steering wheel features M-color stitching and frames a 185-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a variable redline along with gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates just over 45k miles.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was factory rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The rod bearing recall service was performed in 2005 and the double-VANOS system has reportedly been upgraded. Power is routed to the rear wheels via a six-speed transmission that was converted to manual operation by European Auto Source under prior ownership. The car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, and the clutch, rear main seal, and transmission input shaft seal were replaced in July 2022. A replacement oxygen sensor was installed in March 2023, and the car passed an emissions inspection in November 2022.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California.
