This 2002 BMW M3 coupe is powered by a supercharged 3.2-liter inline-six paired with a six-speed sequential transmission, and it is finished in Laguna Seca Blue over black Nappa leather. Equipment includes xenon headlamps, Park Distance Control, power-adjustable seats, automatic climate control, navigation, and Harman Kardon audio, while modifications are said to include a methanol injection kit, upgraded brakes, a Bilstein suspension, Dinan strut tower braces, a performance exhaust system, and carbon-fiber trim. The car was acquired in 2007 by the seller, who has since added approximately 12k of the 47k miles. This E46 M3 is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, a Carfax report, and a clean Washington title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Laguna Seca Blue (448) and features fog lights, xenon headlamps, matte black kidney grilles and fender inserts, an aftermarket hood badge, an electric sunroof, tinted windows, a rear lip spoiler, LED taillights, rear parking sensors, a Vorsteiner carbon-fiber rear diffuser, and an Agency Power titanium muffler with quad outlets. The passenger-side mirror motor was recently replaced, and the removed rear fascia, grille inserts, and fender inserts will accompany the car. The Carfax report lists a rear-end accident in February 2007 that resulted in “minor damage.”
M-branded 19″ Competition Package alloy wheels wear Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires measuring 225/40 up front and 255/35 out back. Modifications are said to include Competition Package disc brakes, Bilstein PSS9 coilovers, and front and rear Dinan strut tower braces. Service carried out within the last year reportedly included performing a differential fluid change, inspecting the subframe, and replacing the Dynamic Stability Control sensor, the front control arm bushings, and the rear trailing arm bushings. The four removed 18″ Style 67 wheels will accompany the car and can be seen in the gallery.
The cabin features seats upholstered in black Nappa leather with matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes aftermarket carbon-fiber trim, power-adjustable seats, driver’s seat memory, cruise control, automatic climate control, navigation, Harman Kardon audio, aluminum pedal covers, an E60 M5-sourced DCT shifter, and power windows, locks, and mirrors.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel features paddle shifters and frames steering column-mounted AEM gauges for air/fuel ratio and boost pressure along with factory instrumentation consisting of a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline, and gauges for fuel level, oil temperature, and coolant temperature. The horn does not work, and the Carfax report notes manufacturer’s recalls for the front airbags. The digital odometer shows 47k miles.
The 3.2-liter inline-six is equipped with a VFE supercharger kit, a Snow Performance methanol injection kit, SuperSprint exhaust headers, a Rogue Engineering rasp pipe, and a Rogue Engineering X-pipe that features an electronic valve cutout, the latter of which does not work. The seller states that the manufacturer’s engine bearing recall has been performed, and recent maintenance is said to have included an oil change.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed SMG sequential transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale along with spare parts and trim pictured in the gallery.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned accident report from February 2007 and registration history in California, Nevada, and Washington. Manufacturer’s recalls related to a DME reprogramming and both front airbags are noted in the report.
