No Reserve: Modified 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS-T 5-Speed

This 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder GS-T was acquired by the seller in 2019, and subsequent work is said to have included the replacement of the spark plugs, ignition wires, water pump, and timing belt as well as installing a Garrett turbocharger, a Brian Crower camshaft and gears, a Walbro fuel pump, DeatschWerks fuel injectors, a fabricated exhaust system, a carbon-fiber hood, 17″ Enkei wheels, front Corbeau seats, and a Pioneer touchscreen stereo. It is finished in white over black leather and microsuede upholstery and is powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transaxle. The car is factory-equipped with a power-operated black soft top, air conditioning, and cruise control. This Eclipse GS-T shows 37k miles and is offered at no reserve with a boot cover, a clean Carfax report, and Connecticut registration in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in white and is noted to have been repainted under current ownership, at which time a carbon-fiber hood, front lip, rear diffuser, and rear wing were fitted. Additional exterior details include a power-operated black soft top, fog lights, and a rear window defroster. The seller notes that the front bumper cover was modified to accommodate an aftermarket radiator. The power antenna is nonfunctional, and the front lip is chipped and scuffed.

This is a re-list after the vehicle was previously sold on BaT in September 2023 and the winning bidder failed to follow through with their commitment to purchase. This was not due to any fault with the vehicle. The winner’s participation on BaT has been restricted and their buyer’s fee was not refunded.

The MOMO steering wheel fronts a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for boost pressure, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. Auxiliary AEM gauges mounted to the left A-pillar monitor air/fuel ratio, boost pressure, and water temperature. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 37k miles, approximately 6k of which have been added under current ownership.

The turbocharged 2.0-liter 4G63T inline-four was fitted with an AEM fuel pressure regulator, an aluminum Mishimoto radiator, an aftermarket air intake, and dual oil catch cans. Additional modifications installed under current ownership reportedly include a Brian Crower Stage 2 camshaft and gears as well as a Garrett Big T28 turbocharger, a Walbro 255-LPH fuel pump, DeatschWerks 550cc fuel injectors, an HKS blow-off valve, an ETS front-mount intercooler, and a 93-octane fuel tune controlled by ECMLink software. According to the seller, the spark plugs, ignition wires, water pump, and timing belt were replaced in 2019, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.

Power is sent to the front wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle, and the seller states a South Bend Stage 2 clutch disc was fitted under current ownership. A Forced Performance exhaust manifold, fabricated exhaust piping, and an HKS muffler are also said to be installed. Corrosion is present on underside components, additional photos of which are provided in the gallery.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.

The car does not have a title, as it is registered in a state that does not issue titles for a vehicle of its age. It is being sold on its registration.
