This Mazda RX-7 FD got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1995 Mazda ɛ̃fini RX-7 is a limited-edition Type RZ example that was acquired out of Japan by the current owner and imported to the US in 2021. The car is finished in Brilliant Black and features a front lip spoiler, an optional rear wing, 17″ BBS forged alloy wheels, Kevlar-backed Recaro bucket seats, a MOMO leather-wrapped steering wheel, and air conditioning. Power is provided by a twin-turbocharged 1.3-liter Wankel rotary engine linked with a five-speed manual transmission and a Torsen limited-slip differential. This Series 6 FD RX-7 is now offered on dealer consignment in California with an owner’s manual and accessories catalog as well as a Japanese CarVX report, import documents, and a clean Arizona title.

The FD generation of the RX-7 was first sold under the ɛ̃fini brand in Japan. The Type RZ was a Japan-only lightweight model that reduced overall weight by approximately 66 pounds compared to the contemporary Type R. This example is finished in Brilliant Black (PZ) with ɛ̃fini badging as well as red RZ logos on the B-pillars. Additional exterior equipment includes pop-up headlights, fog lights, ventilated front fenders, a front lip spoiler, side skirts, and a rear wing. Paint blemishes are depicted in the gallery along with a sticker affixed to the rear windshield and Japanese registration decals located on the front windscreen.

The 17″ BBS forged alloy wheels feature gray centers as well as polished lips and are mounted with 215/45 front and 245/40 rear Falken Azenis AT660 tires that were reportedly installed in preparation for the sale. The factory Bilstein dampers have been removed and replaced with Tein adjustable coilovers. Braking is handled by RZ-specific four-wheel discs with four-piston front calipers, and the car has been fitted with AutoExe stainless-steel brake hoses.

Additional interior details include a left-side foot rest, optional drilled aluminum pedals, carbon-fiber door sill plates, RX-7-logo floor mats, and red seatbelts. Various interior trim and molding pieces have been replaced, according to the selling dealer, and a GReddy shift knob is included in the sale.

The leather-wrapped MOMO steering wheel frames a central tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline accompanied by a 280-km/h speedometer and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 9k kilometers (~5k miles), approximately 1k of which were added under current ownership. The selling dealer states that the odometer failed before being replaced under previous ownership in Japan, and true mileage is unknown.
