This 1992 Mazda 929 is finished in green over Slate leather upholstery, and it is powered by a 3.0-liter DOHC V6 that drives the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power sunroof, 15″ alloy wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control, heated and power-adjustable front seats, and a factory cassette stereo with a Panasonic CD changer. The car is said to have remained with its first owner in Massachusetts until its recent acquisition by the selling dealer, and an oil change was carried out in preparation for the sale. This 929 shows 47k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, two keys, a clean Carfax report, and a clean New Jersey title.
The 1992 model year was the first for the 929 in the North American market, and this example left the factory finished in Mediterranean Teal Metallic (5Y). Features include a power sunroof, fog lights, and a twin-tip exhaust outlet. Photos show blemishes on the front bumper cover.
Silver-finished 15″ alloy wheels are mounted with 215/60 Mastercraft MC-440 tires. The car rides on multi-link suspension at both ends, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes with ventilated rotors.
The heated and power-adjustable front seats and the rear bench seat are upholstered in Slate leather. Appointments include automatic climate control, cruise control, 929-branded carpeted floor mats, and a factory AM/FM/cassette stereo with a Panasonic CD changer. Photos show wear on the outer bolster of the driver’s seat.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 47k miles.
The 3.0-liter DOHC V6 was factory rated at 195 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque, and it drives the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission. An oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.
Additional photos of the underside are presented in the gallery below.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in Massachusetts from its initial entry in December 2001, and a subsequent gap in entries extends until June 2017.
