First World War  German Hebel M1894, 27mm Flare/Signal pistol by G.R. Matching numbers to frame, barrel and internals. These large framed pistols were made from casing rather than being machined from a block, making it quicker to produce and giving its distinctive "case" finish. There look to be some very faint markings on the pistol grip. Interestingly this one is almost certainly a bring back from the First World War as it has been British Nitro Proofed stamped (BNP) at some stage so it could be owned live before, eventually being deactivated in 1995 to old specifications. It can be cocked, stripped and dry fired.
