Description The Norway Spruce cultivar sold as ‘Little Gem’ is typically viewed as a sport of the more robust ‘Nidiformis’ .

  Morphology:
This a miniature conifer that only grows to 18” in height but can spread to 6’ in width. It forms a dense, flat topped foundation shrub with a globe shape. During the spring flush of new growth, the needles are yellow green resembling yellow flowers. Later in the summer the growth turns green.

  Adaptation:
A well drained acidic site is best.
